Stolen Sidekick

There is a very popular internet story going around right now about this guy and his stolen sidekick

Short Form

A guy, Evan, loses his sidekick (fancy cellphone/pda) in the back of the cab.  The thiefs don't respond to text messages and end up keeping, all the while taking pictures of themselves which happen to automatically get uploaded to a server.  Evan now has pictures and spends an inordinate amount of time doing internet research and updating his site in an attempt to shame the thiefs into returning the sidekick and admit they are wrong / sorry.

My Opinion

An interesting read, albiet very long.  I've checked back 3 times now.  Initially, I couldn't help but want they guy to get his "revenge" and force the wrong doers into admitting they are sorry. 

But, now, I want the guy to move on and forget.  I mean, he has taken countless days of work, had his 15 minutes of fame.  Don't get me wrong, the guy seems like a nice, honest guy and those are always the type of guys that get screwed over.  The criminals are rumured to be pursuing a lawsuit, so now this guy has to get legal advice and be prepared.  Even the cops didn't care.

Once the whole thing resolves, I post an update.

Welcome Daddyam

Well, since I spend a lot of time on the internet and find myself spend much more time lately reading blogs and trying to follow the ramblings and goings in my fields of interest I figured its time I start a blog.

Why another blog?

In response, I venture the question why not. I'm sure I can provide some useful content, well content I consider useful and much better than the dribble drabble that is on some blogs. Actually, I have to attribute the new web browser Flock and its timing as major contributers to the birth of Daddyam.

What will you write about?

I'll write about subjects that interest me, stuff I find interesting. I'm purely a selfish person. Some of the subjects I envision myself writing about include triathlon training, computers, web marketing, and useless information I find.
